May I have the right to be objective? Many people forget that there were some social maladies called something like corruption which everybody militated against. Irrespective of the government these became culture . I do not think they are stictly related to politics but rather to a kind of dishonest minded citizen or even criminaly minded, who found it convenient to hide behind politics. These are a type of predators who hand their dishonest goodies from hand to hand and they keep on doing it until their well groomed fingertips hit the bottom of the coffers.Ask many nationalists and they will not all tell you with a significant chuckle that they are living out of other people'S pockets. The majority are honest citizens who want to eradicate corruption. But is this only a politician's job?Having christian democratic principles means that a citizen will in no way be an accomplice to corrupt practices . Politicians usually fall in with voters' demands. It works both ways. Should we keep on with the pot calling the kettle black and draw the political curtain over it? If we want to get rid of corruption we must not demand it for our convenience or hide behind those who practice it. First we must sort out the mess left by political militancy and then sort out the greedy of whatever colour because clearly there are demarcation lines and we are not all of the same.

Brilliant opinion piece Saviour. Its a pity though that a significant segment of nationalist voters will choose not to believe a word of it. Some of them would probably assume you were some sort of closet 'hammalu ahmar' (derogatory term used against Labour supporters and sympathisers). Nonetheless for the rest of us, your commentaries are a breath of fresh air in a country where nearly all local news outlets are controlled either directly or indirectly by the political parties.

Well said. There has been something which has been eating away at my little brain cells. I thought it was against the law to drive wrong way through a one-way street. But day in day out, I have been re-educated to come to learn that it is against the law for most but not for the elect few. A certain mayor of a certain blue colouration takes it upon himself to daily teach us lesser mortals that driving wrong way in a very very narrow road is actually good driving practice. Ah silly me. I thought there was something I was missing! All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others. Indeed, Orwell, INDEED!

Well done saviour, but I think the title should more be in the lines of - How to be the perfect politician - or - How to be the one and only electable party. Keep up the good work of exposing people like Louis Galea, you are one of the very few who directly names and shames, a very big well done. Looking forward for Wednesday's comments. I just love your disclaimers.
