Biography

Dr. Foth is a graduate of the University of Alberta (PhD 1971 in Psychology).  He has served in academic and administrative positions at the University of British Columbia (1970-1975), Simon Fraser University (1975-1985) and the University of Alberta (1985- present), including two terms as Dean of the Faculty of Extension (1985-1996).  Currently active in university affairs and professional organizations he also chairs the Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education Consortium, comprised of the Universities of Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Victoria.  The consortium provides education and training in the four western provinces for people who have responsibility for professional development and training in their organizations or who wish to become adult educators themselves.

 

Married with two adult children Dr. Foth is also an avid cyclist and gardener.
