#1- GREENSBORO BATTING CENTER 13U- This team won the 2002 AAU National Championship in Sarasota, Fla. There were 61 Teams from all over the country and the final four teams were GBC 13U 8-0, Miami, Fla. 8-0, Puerto Rico 8-0 and defending champion, St. Petersberg, Fla. 8-0. After beating Puerto Rico in the semis, we beat St. Pete in the finals. Players on this team included, Clint Moore (Army), Ben Bunting (UNC), CJ Beatty (Stl. Cardinals), and Scott Riddle (Elon).
#2- 1994 APWU Greensboro Palomino League- Won the 1994 Palomino World Series in Greensboro, NC. Beat East Cobb 11-1 and then St. Louis in the Championship 7-1. Players include Clay Hooper (UNC/NY Yankees), Michael Horney (UNC), Jamie Hammond (Maryland), Stan Chadgie (Furman), Michael Holmes (WF/Orioles).
#3- Greensboro Batting Center 14U- 4th place finish at AAU National Championship in Sarasota, Fla. Probably a better TEAM then 2002 team but luck just ran out.
#4- 1995 APWU Greensboro Palomino- Finished 4th in the Palomino World Series in Greensboro, NC. Many returning players but all were getting ready to go to college and lost focus.
#5- 2007 Grimsley High School- Went to third round of State Playoffs and beat the #1 ranked West Forsyth 7-6 in second round.
#6- 1998 Pleasant Garden Pinto All-Stars- 3rd place finish at Pinto World Series in Texas.
#7- 2007 Greensboro Colt League All-Stars- Runner Up in Colt World Series in Lafayette, Indiana. Players include Warren Slack (UNCG), Clint Moore (Army), Austin Moyer (USC Upstate), and Cameron Cockman (UNCW).
#8- 1996 APWU Greensboro Palomino League. This team went to Palomino World Series in Greensboro, NC. Won the Greensboro Palomino League defeating the heavily favored Greensboro Patriots. This team represented America in a baseball visit to Manchester, England.
#9- 2008 Grimsley High School. Went to 2nd round of State Playoffs with very young team. This team featured, Matt Netteshiem (Greensboro College), Cal Sutphin (Liberty) and George Carter (UNC)
